I've always though of "Liberty Leading the People" (which you started with an homage to) was a commemoration of the first revolution, which is incorrect, it's the 1830 July Revolution, my mistake.

You can understand my confusion I think. Even for the revolution of 1848 it's a little off, being made 3 years later.
